Crib & Playpen Safety

Crib SafetyWhether you are a parent at home, a Daycare Center owner or the CEO of a hotel chain, its important to ensure that the cribs and playpens you use are safe for your child and your customers. A crib or playpen is the one place you leave a child unattended and a place where you should feel they are safe, yet each year in this country children are injury and die in cribs and playpens.

Many parents, caregiver and hotels are unknowingly using cribs and playpens that do not meet current safety standards and can pose a serious risk to children. Although it is a nice sentimental jester to have your child or the child in your care to use the crib that you or another family member used, you may be putting your child at risk of serious injury or death.

To help you, we have developed a crib safety program that will walk you through the steps you need to take to ensure the crib or playpen you are using is safe. Please take the time to download this program and inspect the cribs and playpens you are currently using. In this program you will find a list of all recalled cribs and playpens, important safety information and a checklist to uses while you inspect this items.

If you need assistance please do not hesitate to contact us. It does not matter if you are one parent at home or a CEO that manages 700 properties. We are here to help you in any way we can.

This program was originally designed for the hotel industry, but applies to any crib or playpen. If you a not a member of the hotel industry please just disregard the first page of the program. To download the crib safety program please click here.

Crib SafetyOne major hazard with cribs is that over time your fitted sheets may become loose and your child could become entangled and could suffocate to death. This sad reality happened to Marie Reen when she lost your son Jimmy. After Jimmy's death Marie worked on ways to ensure that her tragedy did not happen to anyone else. She invented a crib sheet called STAYPUT that fits on the matters like a pillowcase to prevent a child from becoming entangled. This is a wonderful product and is worth looking into.
